In short
You pick a look and LookKeep invents the person, or, with Make me, your character gets your own face from one photo of you that we delete once your character is made. We don’t sell your data, we don’t train AI models on anything of yours, and you can delete everything in Settings.
Who we are
LookKeep runs lookkeep.com. In this policy, “we” means LookKeep and “you” means anyone who uses lookkeep.com. Questions go to hello@lookkeep.com.
What we collect
| What | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your email address and the names you give your characters | You |
| Your characters | The choices you tap in the creator, each character’s portrait and reference shots | You and our image engine |
| Photos you bring | A photo of yourself for Make me, a photo you want your character in, photos of your product or clothes | You |
| Clips you bring | Videos you bring to recreate a trend, with their sound | You |
| Face measurements | Numbers that describe the shape of a face, calculated from your character’s portrait, from new results and, for Make me, from your photo | Our checking software |
| What you make | Photos, clips and the pieces saved in your Kit | Our image and video engine |
| Purchases | Your plan, credit balance and purchase history | You and Stripe |
| Reports and support | What you tell us when you report something or write to us | You |
| Usage | Which screens and features are used, with a random id your browser makes up | Your browser |
| Technical data | IP address, browser and device type, error logs | Your browser and our hosting provider |
We never see your full card number; Stripe handles card details.
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies or trackers. The usage id is random: it isn’t your name, email or device, and it isn’t shared with anyone. Your browser also keeps a pass our server makes from that id, so one browser can start only a few free characters a day.
How we use it
- To make what you ask for. Your choices, photos and clips go into our engine to make your characters, photos and clips.
- To keep your character the same person. We compare face measurements from each new result with your character’s portrait, and stop results that drift.
- To keep LookKeep safe. Every result passes an automatic image check before you see it. A person reads every report.
- To run your account. Sign-in, credits, purchases, refunds and support.
- To see what’s used. Usage counts tell us which features people use, so we know what to improve.
- To fix problems. Error logs help us find what broke.
Faces
Make me. If you make a character from a photo of yourself, you confirm it’s a photo of you. We check it has one clear face, use it to make your portrait, and compare your portrait with it so the character looks like you. Then we delete it: when you keep the character, or after a day if you don’t. We keep a record that you confirmed it was you (the time and a fingerprint of the file, not the photo).
When you bring a photo or clip with people in it, you confirm it’s yours or that you have their permission. We use it only to make what you asked for, and delete it after 30 days.
Face measurements are never used to identify you or anyone else, for advertising, or to build profiles. We don’t sell or share them. We don’t keep them as a separate record: they are worked out from your character’s portrait each time a check runs, and they go when your character or your account goes.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We don’t train AI models on your photos, clips or characters.
- We don’t show your characters or what you make to anyone else unless you share them yourself.
Labels on what you make
Files you save or share from LookKeep carry a small visible lookkeep.com credit and a label in the file saying it was made with AI. These labels contain no personal data.
Who else handles your data
We share data only with companies that help us run LookKeep, under terms that limit them to that job.
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, network and security for lookkeep.com |
| Stripe | Payments, tax and receipts |
| Resend | Sign-in codes and account emails |
| RunPod | Rented computers that run our image and video engine, when we use them |
Our image and video engine runs on computers we own or rent. Your photos and clips are never sent to outside AI services. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.
Some of these companies are in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we use standard contract terms to protect data sent abroad.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Characters you make but don’t keep | A day, then deleted |
| Clips you bring for a trend | 30 days, then deleted |
| Your photo for Make me | Until you keep the character, or a day if you don’t, then deleted |
| Photos you bring | 30 days, then deleted |
| Shots you don’t keep | 30 days, then deleted |
| Your kept characters, photos, clips and Kit | Until you delete them or your account |
| Usage counts | 13 months, then deleted |
| Purchase records | As long as tax law requires, usually 5 years |
| Reports | 2 years, then deleted |
Deleting your account
Go to Settings, then Delete account. This deletes your characters, everything you brought, everything you made and your Kit, and it can’t be undone. Purchase records we must keep for tax are kept separately. If you have a membership, deleting your account ends it, so you aren’t charged again.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@lookkeep.com and we’ll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the privacy or data protection authority where you live. If you’re in California, we don’t sell or share personal information as the law defines it.
Age
LookKeep is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think someone underage has an account, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
